"Hanging Heart" é uma obra do artista contemporâneo Jeff Koons. Ela faz parte da série Celebrations e existe em 5 cores diferentes. Ficou famosa por ter sido uma das obras mais importantes de Koons a ser vendida em leilão pela Sotheby´s em 2007, por 27 milhões de dólares, na época o valor mais alto já pago a um artista vivo. O imenso coração demorou cerca de 10 anos para ficar pronto, desde a sua concepção até finalização, com mais de 10 camadas de tinta na superfície espelhada. Ele é feito de aço e pesa cerca de 1 tonelada. O coração já participou da exposição de Koons no palácio de Versailles em 2008.
"Hanging Heart" is a work by contemporary artist Jeff Koons. It is part of the Celebrations series and exists in five different colors. It became famous for being one of the most important works by Koons to be auctioned by Sotheby's in 2007 for $27 million, at the time the highest amount ever paid to a living artist. The huge heart took about 10 years to build, from conception to completion, with over 10 layers of paint on the mirrored surface. It is made of stainless steel and weighs about a ton. The heart was also a part of Koon's exibition in the palace of Versailles in 2008.
