Hermès Rive Gauche

Fui conhecer a nova loja da Hermès que abriu recentemente na Rive Gauche, na rue de Sèvres. O local era a antiga piscina do tradicional hotel Lutetia, e alguns aspectos originais foram mantidos, como as pastilhas do chão e o pé direito altíssimo. A arquitetura realmente impressiona, com "ninhos" de marcenaria que dividem os espaços da loja. O endereço conta com uma filial da floricultura Baptiste Pitou, que encanta logo na entrada com uma linda vitrine florida. Um salão de chá Le Plongeoir e uma livraria Chaine d'encre, onde eu finalmente achei o livro que estava procurando há anos, e será tema do próximo post.

I visited the new Hermès store that recently opened in the Rive Gauche, on rue de Sèvres. The space used to be the traditional hotel Lutetia swimming pool, and some original features were kept, such as pallets from the floor and very high ceiling. The architecture is truly impressive, with wooden "nests" that divide the store spaces. The address has a branch of Baptiste Pitou flowershop, who delights the entrance with a beautiful showcase of flowers. A Le Plongeoir tea room and a Chaine d'encre bookshop, where I finally found the book I was looking for after years, and will be the subject of my next post.
