Uma das lojas mais luxuosas do mundo, a Harrods, preparou uma verdadeira obra de arte para celebrar as festividades do casamento real em Londres. As vitrines da loja em Knightsbridge estão todas decoradas com bolos de casamento ornamentados desenhados por importantes nomes da moda, gastronomia e decoração. Entre eles estão: Estée Lauder, Matthew Williamson, Ladurée, Mont Blanc, Escada, Jo Malone, Missoni Home, Paul Smith e Van Cleef & Arpels.

One of the most luxurious shopping destinations of the world, Harrods, has prepared a true work of art to celebrate the festivities of the royal wedding in London. The store windows in Knightsbridge are  decorated with ornate wedding cakes designed by leading names in fashion, cuisine and décor. They include: Estée Lauder, Matthew Williamson, Ladurée, Mont Blanc, Escada, Jo Malone, Missoni Home, Paul Smith and Van Cleef & Arpels.

The Royal Wedding

Uma das mais tradicionais lojas de departamento de Londres, a Liberty, preparou um cantinho de produtos dedicado ao evento mais aguardado do ano pelos britânicos: o casamento real. Prince William e Kate Middleton casam-se em 29 de abril, e fizeram da data um motivo de grande celebração nacional. Vários souvenirs do casal estão sendo vendidos por lá, mas eu achei esses especialmente fofos e usáveis, sem aquele toque cafona de lojinha de turista. São artigos para chá como saquinhos com bonecos dos noivos, canecas e toalhas de mesa, entre outros.

One of the most traditional department stores in London, Liberty, has prepared a product corner dedicated to the most awaited event of the year by the British: the royal wedding. Prince William and Kate Middleton are getting married on April 29th and turned the date into a cause for great celebration nationwide. Several souvenirs of the couple are being sold there, but I found these ones especially cute and wearable without that  tacky touch of tourist shops. They are items such as tea bags with the bride and groom dolls, mugs and tea towels, among others.

ABC CUP

A idéia do ABC Paper Cup surgiu para ajudar a diferenciar copos descartáveis em um evento. Cada convidado poderia memorizar qual era o seu copo, e guardá-lo até o final. Depois disso, outros usos foram sendo descobertos, como a decoração. Um conceito simples, lúdico e criativo, que rendeu o prêmio Red Dot Design Award em 2009 para o design studio He Was Born.

Marimekko 60 years

A grife finlandesa de tecidos Marimekko, famosa pelas suas estampas gráficas, completa 60 anos e ganha uma exposição no Design Museum em Helsinki. A exposição proporciona uma viagem rica, colorida, surpreendente e divertida ao longo do tempo na história da Marimekko e fica em cartaz até o dia 29 de maio. Imperdível.

The Finnish fabric brand Marimekko, famous for its graphic prints, turns 60 years old and earns an exhibition at the Design Museum in Helsinki. The exhibition provides a rich, colorful, surprising and amusing journey throughout time into the history of Marimekko and runs until the 29th of May. A must see.

Liberty & Nike 2011

Uma das parcerias de maior sucesso no ano passado foi o lançamento da coleção de tênis da Nike com estampas da empresa inglesa Liberty. O famoso floral virou febre e os produtos acabaram rapidamente. Hoje está sendo lançada a nova coleção, e o dia já começou movimentado com filas na porta da loja londrina. Promete ser um sucesso, difícil é escolher o par mais bonito!

One of the most successful partnerships last year was the launch of the Nike shoe collection with Liberty prints. The famous floral prints became a huge hit and the products sold out quickly.
